Haiku in English

by Takahashi Masako

Haiku in English is still in its infancy, but it gives us some idea of 'What is English haiku for English-speaking people?'They eagerly want to express their feelings and their individualities. And they borrow Japanese haiku form.

"Neither do men put new wine into old wine-skins: els the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins perish: but they put new wine into fresh wine-skins,and both are preserved."

Haiku:
Oh, it has come!comes the usual white-eye to suck honey.
